Dr. Faber talks about the proactive ways Rev. Jeffrey Brown took to connect and develop relationships with adolescents in Boston. He made a concerted effort to seek them out, (this generally occurred at nighttime) and get to know them personally. In doing so, he got to learn more about their respective hardships and challenges and over time they began to trust him. In recent years, the crime rate with adolescents has dropped 79 percent in Boston. He encourages viewers to check out Rev. Brown on TEDTalks and believes his hands-on approach towards communicating with youth in other U.S. cities could have a similar game-changing impact.
